Podcast: Leaving the iPhone behind
I have for you a tale of tragic abandonment. It tells the story of a little boy who was raised to believe that Santa Claus was real but didn’t like his neighborhood and that Apple products could do no wrong when paired with AT&T’s network.
It’s a coming-of-age story that illustrates how far a person can sink when he’s standing on a foundation of denial and yearly iPhone releases. Most of all, though, it’s an Odyssey that follows one man’s journey to redemption in the form of a smartphone.
Or, it’s a podcast I did with a friend about why he decided to leave his iPhone behind for the greener pastures of the HTC EVO, powered by the Android platform and Sprint’s network.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s that last one.

I spent some time with a friend of mine, Matt, who went from being a rabid iPhone fanboy to a current EVO user. I decided to ask him why.
Note: I love my iPhone and think my friend is silly.
